Vurlin A. Harmon
Vurlin A. Harmon, 73, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at his residence in Henryville.
He was born July 2, 1930, in Columbia, Ky. His parents were Charlie W. and Clara O. (Burton) Harmon. Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Schoolcraft and Carol J. Hall, both of Henryville; three sisters, Jewell E., Nancy M. and Priscilla Ann Burton, all of Columbia, Ky.; four brothers, Ervin W. Harmon of Edinburgh, Leonard T. Harmon of Jeffersonville and Sylvester Harmon and Ernest M. Harmon, both of Columbia, Ky.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Nerva, Melvana, Hattie and Sallie Harmon and Kathryn Bryant; and a brother, George Dudley Harmon.
He was employed by Arvin Automotive in Franklin as a production worker for 42 years.
He attended Who So Ever Will Community Church and Church of the Living Water, both in Edinburgh.
The Rev. Lewis Burton will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive in Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until time of service Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh is handling arrangements.
