Richard F. (Mac) McConnell of Bonnieville passed away Sunday, Oct 16 at his home. He was born in Kansas City, MO on Oct. 14, 1939.
He retired after 22years in the army as Military Police.
He served two tours in Germany, a tour in Vietnam and a tour in Alaska.
He was a member of the Acme Lodge 851, DAV, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Life member of foreign wars and a Kentucky Colonel.
Mac is survived by wife of 48 years-Carolyn
Daughter- Brandy Butler & hus. Robert of Bonnieville
Granddaughter-Amber Butler of Bonnieville
Sister-Joyce Thompson & hus. Gary of Salt Lake City, UT
Several nieces & nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father S. Glen McConnell, his mother Eleanor Hurst, his step-father Ed Hurst, his half-brother Warner McConnell.
A masonic service and military honors will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday at the Srygler Family cemetery. Sego Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
