John Strode Is Buried On Monday
Funeral services were held Monday, August 3, at Norfolk for John Strode 87, who died July 30, 1981, at the home for the elderly in Tilden, Nebraska.
John Strode was born Joy 31, 1894, in Bliar to Mr. and Mrs. Newton Strode of Blair. He grew up in Blair, where his parents were among the pioneers of the town, and began his career as a railroad agent in Blair.
He and his wife, Minnie, lived in Blair for many years. After his retirement, they lived in Norfolk for many years, before going into the housing for the elderly in Tilden. He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie; nieces and nephews and both grand and great-grandnieces and nephews.
