John I. Hungerschafer, local Real estate broker, died Sunday morning at 10:15 o'clock in St. Mary's Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks.
,Mr. Hungerschafer was born in Amsterdam Dec. 5, 1894, a son of John and Elizabeth Smith Hungerschafer, and was a lifelong resident of this city. He operated the Hungerschafer Delivery Service for many years prior to entering the real estate business. Mr. Hungerschafer was a member of St. Mary's Church and Amsterdam Lodge, 101, BPOE.
June 25, 1917, he married Marguerite Clary, who survives him. He also leaves one daughter, Mrs. Earl A. Reuss, Amsterdam; one brother, Alfred, Amsterdam, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
