Mrs. Mary E. Sutton of Riverside township, died this morning at 2:15 o'clock from a stroke of apoplexy while at South park which she suffered yesterday afternoon. The stroke came on from the bursting of a blood vessel and there by caused a clot of blood on the brain The stroke occurred about 4:30 o'clock. Mrs. Sutton came into Quincy yesterday in her surrey and had dinner at the residence of her sister, Mrs. M. A. Murphy of 622 Broadway She ate a hearty dinner and seemed in her usual health and good spirits. In the afternoon, she took her sister and niece out to drive and the party went to South park to hear concert. Desiring to alight for the a short time, it was found necessary to help Mrs. Sutton to the ground, as she seemed to have lost control of her members. She grew steadily worse and by the help of others was lifted back into the surrey and driven to the Murphy home. By this time she had become unconscious and failed steadily until the end came. Mrs. Sutton was born January 17, 1847, near Columbus, Adams county and had lived most of her life in Missouri. She made her home with the family of her son by her first husband, William Hetzler, and when they moved from Missouri to Riverside township, she moved with them last November, where she had resided since. She leaves four sons and two daughters. The sons are: C I and E. L. Hetzler of Kansas City Mo. , F. G. Hetzler of Keokuk,
William of Riverside. The and daughters are: Mrs. John Hubbard of Ewing, and Mrs. J. S. McMurphy of Wilton Junction, la. Six sisters also survive. Mrs. S. G. Earel of Riverside. Mrs. M. A. Murphy of Quincy, Mrs. Lany Brelsford of Polo, Mo., Mrs. H. C. Johnson of Carribel. Idaho, Mrs John Curry of Harrisonville, Mo., and Mrs. Olive Featheringill of Baltimore, Md.
