Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning by Rev. J. Kauffman at Our Lady of Lourdes Church here for Chas. Abdoo, 48, who died at his home Sunday evening following an illness of several months. Interment was at Clay Cemetery by Burmann. The service at the church was a Requiem High Mass with the Ave Maria sung by Charles Abdoo, Jr.
Born in Kirby, Mt. Lebanon, Syria, Mr. Abdoo came to Cleveland as a boy of 14. He was married to Madeline Shebli in 1914 at Gibsonburg, coming with his family to Genoa 18 years ago. He has continued in business here since that time. He was the father of six sons, five of whom survive, together with his wife, one sister and one brother.
A touching part of the service at the cemetery was a tribute read in Syrian by Peter Assaf, a boyhood chum of the deceased.
