GRACE MILDRED RAMSEY (74) Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at home in Hemet on July 30, 2006.
Grace Hanna was born on August 10, 1931 in Grafton, ND, and later moved to Chico, CA, riding cross-country with her mother and siblings in the family sedan that was loaded in the back of her father's dump truck. After attending high school in Chico, she began her career as a telephone technician in Chico and continued with the local Hemet telephone company after moving to the Valley in 1955 with her husband Lawrence Ramsey.
After retiring from GTE, she became an active member of the Pioneer Club and Hemet Community Builders. Grace spent much of her time enjoying her granddaughters and great-grandsons, and visiting with her friends.
Grace is survived by her daughter and son-in law Linda and Mark Allred of Hemet; sisters Virginia Doty of Yuba City, Dorothy Casebeer of Oroville, Beverly Hanna of Chico, brother Raymond Hanna of Evansville, IN; sister in-law Charlene Dinnel; granddaughter Lisa McKenna and her husband Kevin of Flower Mound, TX; granddaughter Jolene Allred of Hemet; and great-grandsons Ian and Parker McKenna. Memorial Services will be held at McWane Family Funeral Home in Hemet on Friday, August 4th, 2006 at 2:00 PM.
