JUST HUMAN:
As a small girl of ten, with a Father and Mother, Brother and Sisters, who loved one another.

Then as a young girl of sixteen, with wings on my feet...
I dreamed that soon a lover I would meet.

Shortly after I was a bride, remembering the vows I promised to keep...
Then I was eighteen with my firstborn in my arms, my heart gave a leap.

A couple of years later, I had another young one of my own...
Who needed me, to build her a happy and secure home.

By the time I was thirty two, there were three more babies growing so fast..
Bound to each other, with ties that should last.

In my forties, all my children but one are grown and gone...
But my Love was by my side, to see I didn't mourn.

Then in my fifties, once more babies playing on my knees...
Again we knew children, my loved one and me.

Soon after, dark days fell upon me. My husband was dead...
I looked at the future, and shuttered with dread...

For my young ones were raising young of their own...
All I could think of was the years and love I'd known...
Where had they gone?

Before I knew it, I was a sick old woman. And Nature was very cruel...
She enjoys making old age look like a fool.

As my body crumbled grace and vigor departed...
But I still had soft spots in my heart.

And inside the old carcass, a young girl still dwelled...
And now and again, my battered heart still swelled.

I remember the joys, I remember the pains...
I was loving and living all over again.

I thought of the years, all to few, gone to fast...
And accepted the fact, that nothing can last.

So open your eyes loved ones...
Open and see.

I was not a crazy, crabby, old woman...
Just look a little closer, you will see.

Perfect I was not...I was only human!
See? JUST HUMAN!
YOU AND ME!!!

"DON'T SING SAD SONGS FOR ME'
I have a place in Heaven, So please don't sing sad songs for me.

Forget your grief and fears,
For I am in a perfect place,
Away from pain and tears...

I am far away from hunger, hurt and pride,
I have a place in Heaven, with my master by my side...

My life on earth was very good,
As good as earthly lives can go
,
But paradise is so much more,
Than anyone can know...
