Came from Ashford, Kent to Massachusetts Bay in 1635 on the Hercules. On 12 Mar 1634/5, "Rose Tritton of Ashford," holding a certificate of conformity from the vicar of Ashford, was enrolled at Sandwich, as a passenger for New England on the Hercules. (Rose Tritton is entered in the column of "Servants" rather than in the column "Masters of Families," but she is not grouped with any other family.)
She was baptized at Ashford, Kent 22 Sep 1611, daughter of Daniel & Alice (Goldsmith) Tritton. Her mother, Alice (Goldsmith) (Tritton) Dayton married Ralph Dayton {1639, New Haven}. Her sister Bennett (Tritton Stanley married Thomas Stanley {1634, Lynn}.
