Harold 'Dean' Graff was born July 28, 1918, in Minier, a son of Howard H. and Phoebe Hess Graff. He married Alice Imogene Hendrix Aug. 4, 1941, in Union City, TN.
Surviving are his wife; two son, Harold Dean Graff II and Dennis Alan Graff; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Stanley Graff.
He played for the St. Louis Cardinals organization for many years. He graduated from Illnois Wesleyan University in 1942 and was captain of the All American Baseball Team in 1938.
He served during World War II in the Navy.
