Richard N. Dunn of Merrillville, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2006 in Methodist hospital, surrounded by his family. Richard was born on February 28, 1933 in Jere, West Virginia to Isaac and Beatrice Dunn who proceded him in death. Richard married the love of his life, Juanita Floyd on July 9, 1954, to this beautiful union came four children. Richard is survived by his wife, Juanita of Merr., four children: Ron Dunn of Roselawn, Sharon Miller of Hobart, Don Dunn of Merr., and Scott Dunn of Highland; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; one brother, Floyd Dunn; four sisters, Wilma Dean, Sylvie, Mary Ann, and Ella Dean. Richard was proceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Beatrice Dunn; Parents-in-law, Clem and Bessie Floyd; two grandchildren, Lisa Marie Miller and Brad Allen Miller.

Funeral Services will be held Tues. April 4, 2006 at 11:30 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home, Pastor Gary Auten officiating. Burial at Calumet Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Mon. from 4 to 8 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd., Highland.

Richard was retired from Calumet Auto Wrecking after 22 years of service. Richard was a very dedicated and hard working man. Richard was a loving husband, awesome father and grandfather. Richard enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren, enjoyed NASCAR races, wrestling, and fishing. Everyone who met him was a better person because of it, he will be greatly missed.
