Walter Padlo, Jr., 59, born in Wheeling, WVA, raised in Dayton, OH, and a longtime resident of Jacksonville, passed away July 21, 2001. He was employed with Anchor Glass and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the Ohio National Guard. Survivors include his son, Nicholas Padlo; two daughters, Lisa Winston (David) and Lesley Phibbs (Tony); sister, Rosemary Padlo; two grandchildren, Abigail and Lindsey; and a special friends, Ann Baker. Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Thursday July 26th, at Southside Baptist Church, 1435 Atlantic Blvd., with Rev. John Harmeling officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday July 25th, from 5:30 to 8:00PM at HARDAGE GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 4115 HENDRICKS AVE. The family requests that memorials be made to Southside Baptist Church.
