He had lived most of his life in Breckenridge where he had been employed as a cook. He retired in 1968. He was a Methodist.
Survivors: two sons - Roland of Midland and Bill of Waterwood; daughter - Natalie Handley of Plano; sister - Gertrude Norriss of Bowie; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
