Iris Nadine (Cafer) Sanders passed away October 13, 2011 Kirksville, Missouri. Daughter of Irving and Bernice (Bachman) Keller, she was born February 8, 1933 in Green City, Missouri. She graduated from Green City High School in 1951, and attended Kirksville Teacher's College (now Truman State University). She married Glenn Cafer in 1956 and three children were born to the marriage. They were divorced in 1976. Iris married her high school sweetheart, Richard Sanders, of Green City, Missouri, in 1991. He survives. Iris retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1991 after fourteen years of service. She was a member of the Green City Lion's Club, Red Hatters Club, and Senior Singers Group. She loved music, animals, travel, and her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church, but was active in many churches, including the Green City Assembly of God and the Faith Methodist Church of Kirksville. She is survived by her three children Mitzi Cafer Rogers (Tony), Glenda Cafer (David Debenham), Douglas Cafer (Sheri) all of Topeka, Kansas; two step-sons, Michael Sanders of Kirksville and Kevin Mallory of Kansas City, Missouri; one step-daughter, Bambi Yeosman of Warner Robbins, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren-Cortney, Lindsey, Glynnis, Cameron, Preston, Tiffany, Melissa, Thomas, Nezhoni, Ason, Tana, Zach, and Amy; and siz great-grandchildren. Iris was a special person who was loved dearly by her family and will be missed forever. A visistation will be held at the Ruschmeier Funeral Home, Green City, Missouri, from 2:00 to 3:00 Saturday, October 15, 2011, at which time a funeral service will be held. Burial will follow at the Green City Cemetery, Green City, Missouri. Memorial contributions are suggested to any local Helping Hands Humane Society. Iris Nadine Sanders
