Funeral services were held in St. James Catholic Church Thursday afternoon for Abram Adame, 72, who died in a San Antonio hospital Tuesday morning following a short illness. Interment was made in Santa Rita Cemetery with the Janes & Magill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Adame was a long-time resident of Sanderson, coming here in 1889 and working as captain of a shearing crew for many years. He moved to San Antonio five years ago.
Abram married Lorenza Rangel on March 15, 1906.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter and four grandchildren, also a sister, Mrs. Matiana Hidalgo of New Home, Texas. Pablo Ochoa is one of several nephews and nieces residing in Sanderson.
