Elizabeth Magyari was born on 14 April 1859 to István Magyari, a farmer, and Maria Lupis, in the village of Füzér, Abaúj-Torna, Hungary.

She immigrated to the United States about the year 1883. She married her husband, Giuseppe Giovanbattista Micone (Joseph Mecone) in 1885. They eventualy settled in Snow Shoe Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania. They owned and operated a General Store and a farm in Snow Shoe.

During her final years of life she lived with her daughter Mary Prato (née Mecone) in South Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

Elizabeth died on 15 November 1937, at Williamsport Hospital, from Bronchopneumonia.

Funeral services were held in Williamsport on 16 November 1937, and then funeral mass was held on 18 November, at St. Michael's Church, in Clarence, Centre County, where she was buried later that day in the church cemetery.
