Thomas Milton McClarran was born June 21, 1921, in Greensburg, a son of George T. and Viva McNutt McClarran.

He served as a Merchant Marine during World War II.

Tom married Louise O'Shea, and they became the parents of a son and a daughter.

Thomas was an equipment operator for Robertshaw Controls until retirement. Thomas and his wife were also the owners/operators of the Rim Rock Country Store for more than 25 years.

As an avid horseman, Thomas was a founding member and president of the Westmoreland Trail Riders for many years. Thomas was a member of Luxor United Methodist Church and the New Alexandria Senior Citizens.

At the age of 89, Thomas M. McClarran, of Latrobe, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, M. Louise O'Shea McClarran; and a brother, John S. McClarran.

He was survived by his loving family; son and wife; daughter and husband; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister. Thomas will be greatly missed.
