He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a sheet metal worker and millwright for Delco Remy for 40 years before retiring in 1999. He was a member of the American Legion Post 408; American Motorcycle Association for 61 years; and Portland Vintage Bike Club.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Baker and a brother, David J.
