Kathryn Cecilia Lynch, 93, of Albia died May 3, 1986, at her home.

She was born in Illinois on Oct. 17, 1892, the daughter of John and Mary Bates. She was 9 months old when she moved to Monroe County, Iowa, where she resided the rest of her life. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Thomas and Ann Kennedy. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

On Nov. 24, 1915, she married Thomas Joseph Lynch at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Georgetown. He died on Aug. 10, 1969.

Survivors include one daughter, Rosemary of Albia; one son, Joseph of Albia; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were one son, John; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The funeral was 10:30 a.m. today (Tuesday) at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. M. J. Brothersen officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Georgetown.

The rosary was recited 8 p.m. Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home, Albia.
