Eliza A. Keever, 89, of Massell Drive, Cartersville, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at Maple Ridge Health Care Center.

Mrs. Keever was born September 24, 1912, in Bartow County, a daughter of the late W.R. and Annie Blackburn Abernathy.

She was a member of the Center Baptist Church and was retired from Sam Howell Hospital.

Preceded in death by her husband, Quimby Keever, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James and Annette Keever of Cartersville; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Charles Adams of Cartersville, Martha and James Howell of Cartersville, Lula and Wendell Ferguson of Dallas, Mary Lou and Earl Cantrell of Cartersville, a son-in-law, Walter Miller, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Millsapps of Cumming; sisters-in-law, Fanny Abernathy of Colorado, Bessie Brooks of Powder Springs, a number of nieces and nephews, a special cousin, Lorene Blackburn, special friends Ruth McAfee and Eva Beavers.

She was preceded n death by her daughter, Fannie Keever Miller; her sisters, Sarah, Bessie and Cordie Abernathy and her brothers Frank and N.D. Abernathy.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002 from Center Baptist Church with the Rev. Sammy Adams, The Rev James Blackburn and Charles Howell officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Macedonia Cemetery.
