Funeral services for Malisa Abernathy, 75 years of age, who died at 7:30 Thursday morning at the residence, 200 South Tennessee Street, will be held Friday morning at eleven o'clock at Macedonia Church, and interment will follow in the cemetery there.
Mrs. Abernathy had been quite ill for some time, but her death Thursday morning was unexpected by members of her family. She is survived by her husband, two sons, John Abernathy of Acworth, and H.F. Abernathy of Cartersville, and two daughters, Mrs. Ludie Hill and Mrs. Cora Womack of Cartersville. Funeral services are in charge of Jackson's funeral directors.
[NOTES: The obituary lists her as Mrs. J.T. Abernathy, however, Malisa was the wife of Hosea Abernathy. Her children are John Abernathy, Bardy Thompson "Tompie" Abernathy (not H.F.), Ludie (Lugenia "Ludie" Matilda Abernathy) Hill, Cora Abernathy Womack, Hosea Abernathy, II, and Evelyn Lee Abernathy Knight.]
