SANTIAGO ARMENDARIZ

A Rosary for Santiago "Jimmy" Armendariz, 57, of Merced, Calif., will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. John Elmer officiating.

Burial will follow at Santa Catarina Cemetery.

Mr. Armendariz died Saturday (Oct. 10, 1992) in Merced.

Pallbearers will be his sons, Santiago, Samuel, Daniel, Randall, Steven and Michael Armendariz.

He lived in San Jose, Calif., for 15 years before moving to Merced in 1980 to start his own auto repair shop. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and music.

Survivors include his wife, Lorina Armendariz of Merced; six sons, Santiago Jr., Samuel, Daniel and Randall Armendariz, all of Merced, Steven Armendariz of Newman, Calif., and Michael Armendariz of Ceres, Calif.; five daughters, Seferita Hernandez, Angelic Armendariz and Dorinda Olivarez, all of Merced, and Debbie Herra and Joslin Armendariz of Carlsbad; his mother, Angelita Carnero Sanchez of Marfa, Texas; six sisters, Estalla Armendariz, Dora Larez, Mary Johnson, Lupita Ontiveros and Juanita Gomez, all of Carlsbad, and Ernestina Flores of Albuquerque; 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
