WILSONVILLE, Ore. - Helen was born in 1911 in Franklin Grove, Iiiinois. She was the daughter of Fred J. and Daisy (Ives) Blocher.
Helen married her high school sweetheart, David O. Wiegel on Feb. 29, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1992.
She is survived by three children, Roger (Betty) Wiegel of Rio Rancho, N.M.; Dorothy (Lou) Kristopson of Stow, Ohio; and Jeffrey (Christy) Wiegel of Wilsonville; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a nephew, Bob McGaffey of Lyndenhurst and Dixon.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Eva McGaffey of Dixon, in 1980; and a dearly missed great-grandson.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., followed by the funeral at 2 p.m., Thursday at United First Church, Amboy, with the Rev. Chaarles Jeanblanc, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Repose Cemetery, Amboy.
A memorial has been established to the church.]
