Mrs. Laura A. Cochran, widow of Henry Cochran, died at the Hamilton avenue hospital, Monticello, Oct. 31, from shock from a broken hip, sustained at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bertha Anderson, at Lava a week before. She had been in the hospital four days.

The funeral was held Nov. 3, with a service at the Fosterdale Methodist church by Rev. William Harvey, and burial in the cemetery there by Ramsay of Liberty. The pallbearers were William Gabriel, Preston Theiss, Malcolm Hadden, Floyd Gabriel, Leslie Burr and Ralph MacArthur.

Mrs. Cochran was born Feb. 20, 1867, in Philadelphia, a daughter of Daniel Newton and Anna B. Nuntzki. At the age of twenty she was married in New York to Mr. Cochran, who died twenty-six years ago. For the past several years she lived with her daughter Lydia, wife of Charles Gabriel of North Bethel. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Inez Simmons of Liberty, and two sons, Edward of Binghamton and Chester of Lake Huntington. There are nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
