1852-1858
Arthur's name and birth & death dates are inscribed on the large family stone along with his parents, Farnum F. & Currance Kenyon Thompson.
In front of the large family stone are three small stones, one each for FATHER, MOTHER and ARTHUR. The carving on these small stones is very hard to make out, but, if you look carefully, you will see ARTHUR.
One of Arthur's brothers, Sailey (1863-1926) also has a stone here, to the left of the large family stone.
Other siblings of Arthur: Timothy, Mary (called Dora), and Fanny. Dora married Henry Harmon Davis and is buried at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry, Iowa.
The Thompson family shows up living in Williston in the 1850 census, but by 1860 the family settles in Richmond, a neighboring town, where Farnum lives until his death.
