Augusta is the daughter of John Hill. John L. Hill and Susan Kellerman Hill came to Kansas and purchased the original Hill Farm of 560 acres. James Hill gave the land for Cherry Mound cemetery. They attended Cherry Mound school and the United Church of the Brethern which still stands but in sore need of repair. It is boarded up.
Mark D. Hill and his brother Bruce Hill were the last Hills to live and run the farm. They sold it to the family that currently owns it with their second generation living there.
