Born Carrie Bakken Aug. 10, 1895, at Northwood, Attended Mayville Normal School and later taught school. Married Ben Larson at Grand Forks, Dec. 6, 1924. Moved the Berthold area in 1927 where they farmed until retiring in 1950. Moved to Minot in 1972. Member of Zion Lutheran Church and the women’s organization of the church. For many years was a 4-H leader of the Willing Workers 4-H Club in the Berthold area.
Survivors: husband; two daughters; Mrs. Oscar (Doris) Olson and Mrs. Richard (Ila) Robinson, both of Minot: seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Bates, Wolf Point. Mont., and Mrs. Ruth Williams, Northwood; and two brothers, Harris Bakken, Northwood, and Ingolf Bakken, Baker. Mont. Friends may call at Thomas Funeral Home, Minot, tonight until 8:30.
