He Enlisted along with 5 Brothers in The Confederate States Army. Only 2 of These Brothers survived, they came Home and Lived the rest of their Lives around The Stone Mountain area.

He Enlisted as a Private in the 36th Georgia April 1862.

William was Captured during The Vicksburg Campaign and Paroled July 15, 1862. He died in the Mobile area, on his Journey Home. TY, to The Stone Mountain Sons of Confederate Veterans, for this Information.


William married Frances Hardeman, Feb. 17, 1861 in Dekalb Co. Georgia, they were cousins. They have a little Infant son, Buried by his mother. Frances remarried Dr. Robinson.
