He was born Hughey Logan Reese. Son of William Henry Reese and Otta Gertrude Keys. When his mother Otta fell ill and was unable to care for him, she asked her step-sister and her husband Joshua Walter Riggs (Memorial #14526624) and Dovie (Hood) Riggs (Memorial #14526645) to take care of him. He ended up staying with them until adulthood. In 1969 he legally changed his name to Buster Brown Riggs.
He married Lottie Rankins on August 2, 1941 in Ft. Smith Arkansas. He later married Thelma Pittman on June 29, 1981 in Ft Smith Arkansas. Buster was my uncle and my father's half-brother.

The Rev. Buster Riggs, was 75, when he died, at a local hospital. He was a retired Pentecostal minister, retired owner of the Riggs Construction Co. of Fort Smith, a Navy veteran of World War II with the Seabees and widower of Lottie Rankin Riggs.
