AGED MAN KILLED BY S.A.L. TRAIN NEAR DACULA

Lawrenceville, Ga., Oct. 3 -- Mr. J.J. Holt, an aged and prominent planter of this county, was struck by Seaboard passenger train No. 5, south bound, Monday afternoon at a road crossing near Dacula and was so badly injured he died in a few hours.
Note: James Jefferson Holt was hard of hearing and he did not hear, nor see the train approaching before the train hit him. (Source: J.J. Holt's daughter Flodie Bell Holt Bailey).
