Mrs. Clara McComb, 74, a former resident of Iberia, died Tuesday at the Baptist Home for the Aged in Ironton. She had been a resident of the home for five years. Mrs. McComb was born at Eugene on Sept. 26, 1906, daughter of Hansford O. and Florence Chandler Burks. On April 5, 1959, she was married to Perry McComb, who died April 14, 1968.
She was a member of a Baptist Church and was formerly employed as a switchboard operator.
Survivors include: one step son, Ray McComb, Tyler, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie McComb, Kansas City, Mrs. Dale Hale, Henley, and Mrs. Opal Sundermeyer, Holts Summit; two brothers, Jason Burks, Iberia and Samuel O. Burks, Kansas City, Kan.
The funeral will be conducted at the Baptist Home for the Aged in Ironton at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Gayford Lowarance will officiate with burial in the Baptist Home Cemetery at Ironton.
