Born in Wayside, a son of Frank and Ella King, he was a retired house painter. He was a charter member of the Oakhurst Fire Company and a member of the Oakhurst Methodist Church and the Junior Order United American Mechanics.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Smith, and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Sherman, of Oakhurst; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Woolley Funeral Home, Long Branch, with Rev. John Blair of the Oakhurst Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood cemetery, West Long Branch.
