Steven Ernest Chapman, 41, of Edmonton, KY, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at 3:45 P.M. at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was born Jan. 5, 1970, in Glasgow, KY.

He was a member of Faith Independent Baptist Church in Edmonton, formerly worked at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Sulphur Well and was a correspondent for the Edmonton Herald News, writing the Sulphur Well News column.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Edwards Parnell, his grandmother, who raised him, Ruby Edwards, his grandfather, Wayne Chapman, two brothers, Anthony Chapman & Jackie Parnell and his father-in-law, James Dale Coffey.

Survivors include: His wife - Marsha Coffey Chapman of Edmonton, father - Ricky Chapman of Brandenburg, step-father - Donnie Parnell of Columbia, mother-in-law - Virginia Coffey of Columbia, brothers - Kenny Chapman of Columbia, Ricky Joe & Jason Chapman both of Brandenburg, several aunts, uncles, cousins & a host of friends.

Funeral service - Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Timmy Glass, Bro. Darrell Coffey & Bro. Pat Smith officiating. Burial in J.B. Smith Cemetery in Sulphur Well Visitation after 5 P.M. Wednesday.
