Mr. Theodore Frank Cody, age 84 of 2540 Highway 150 in Crouse, died on Thursday, October 6, 2011.


His funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2011 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Bost and Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Warlick Funeral Home.


Mr. Cody was born March 4, 1927 in Lincoln County to the late Silas Burgin and Maggie Laura Schronce Cody. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by six brothers, James, Emmit, Bonnie Press, Charles, Alfred and Chephus, one sister, Mary Cody Seagle, and one grandson, Charlie Crowder. He was retired from Carolina Mills and also served in the United States Army during World War II.


He is survived by two daughters, Brenda C. Colvard and husband Larry of Lincolnton, and Shirley C. Dellinger and husband George of Crouse; two grandchildren, Shelley Lovelace and husband Harold and Wendy McGinnis and husband Tim; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron Lovelace, Colt McGinnis and Cody Blanton.
