COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Josephine Kilgore, 82, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Stevens Street Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cookeville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until time of services on Wednesday at the church.
Ms. Kilgore died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Edna Josephine Kilgore, 82, of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, October 12 at 2 pm at Stevens Street Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Wood and Pastor Joe Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until service time at the church.
Mrs. Kilgore died Sunday October 9, 2011 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born October 29, 1928 in Coats, NC to the late William Milo and Julia Turnage Byrd.
Mrs. Kilgore was a member of Stevens Street Baptist Church and a member of Different, on Purpose, Sunday School class.
She was affectionately known as Nana Jo to friends and family. Nana Jo was an avid reader, especially the Bible. She encouraged those around her by living out the Christian life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, William and Odell Byrd; and two sisters, Kathleen Norris and Elgie Suggs.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Brett and Kristen Kilgore of Morristown, TN, Jim and Jenilyn Kilgore of Cookeville, Michael and Lisa Kilgore of Smithville; daughter and son-in-law, Bernice and Joe Cox of Rickman; seventeen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions can be made to Lighthouse Christian Camp, 205 Serenity Place, Smithville, TN 37166
