Daughter of Andrew Degau and Sabine Devaux. Clara Degau was first married to Matthew Stubbert in 1876 in Nova Scotia. Matthew died about 1884 in Nova Scotia. Clara then married William Bonnar in 1885, After he died about 1891 Clara relocated to British Columbia with her three young sons. She married William Gordon in 1894 in Seattle. Clara and William remained in Seattle and they had one son, Gilbert Gordon.
