Dr. W. N. Huntley, 86, Died This Morning.

Dr. William N. Huntley, aged 86 years and a resident of Warren for over fifty years, died at his home at 208 Scott street this morning at nine o'clock, the immediate cause of death being attributed to a stroke of apoplexy which overtook him yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock.

For a number of years Dr. Huntley had been in failing health, but was able to be about the house until yesterday morning, when he was unable to leave his room and the fatal attack gradually came upon him during the day.

Dr. Huntley was born in Canandaigua, N.Y. on June 9, 1839 and came to Trumbull County when a boy. For a number of years he was a teacher in schools of Johnston, Bristol and other townships in the north part of the county, and was married on September 8, 1867 to Miss Jennie S. Jones of Bristol. Two children were born to them. Frank, who died in infancy, and Bruce Norman, who was 14 years old when he passed away.

When the family took up their residence in Warren, Dr. Huntley entered the profession of dentistry and practiced here for many years. Fifteen years ago he retired from active practice and has lived quietly at his home on Scott street. He was a man of excellent character, fine principle, and had a large number of friends in Warren and throughout Trumbull county, who held him in the highest regard.

Dr. Huntley was a member of the First M.E. church, and is survived by his wife, two brothers, Scott Huntley, Cleveland; Oscar Huntley, Warren; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Abrams, Warren; Mrs. Ida Rinder, Mrs. Ada Miller, Cleveland.

Funeral services will be held at the home at 208 Scott street Saturday afternoon at 2:30, when Rev. V.W. Wagar will officiate. Interment will take place at Oakwood cemetery.
