At age 35 she married Rev. E.D. Taylor. At age 40 she was again widowed. At age 46 her only son died of typhoid fever in his first year at Adelbert College (Western Reserve University). Florence continued teaching as
she raised her son and after his death she opened her home to boarding students from the college for the next 20 years.

"Cleveland Necrology File, (CPL), Reel 79 (WRHS), April 23, 1916. Taylor - Florence E., late of 2117 Adelbert rd., Friday, Apr 21, aged 77 years. Funeral Monday, Apr 24, at 2 o'clock, at Wade Memorial chapel, Lake View cemetery. Friends invited.
She died in Cuyahoga Falls, Summit Co., Ohio cause: Senile Dementia. Fair Oak Villa, a sanitarium as per death certificate
(residence: Nov. 1915- Apr. 1916).
