Final services for Miss Alice Janes. 89, resident of Ripon for the
past 55 years. were held Thursday. JUne 6, at 1:30 p. m. from the Butzin
chapel with the Rev. Glenn A. Rowles, pastor or the First Congregational
church. officiating.

Miss Janes succumbed at the Municipal hospital Monday evening, June 3, of
Infirmities due to advanced age. She had undergone treatment for the past
week after falling In her room at the home or her nepheW, L. B. Farvour,
Woodside Ave, with whom she had resided for nearly 18 years.

Born In the town of Berlin Aug. 3, 1850. the daughter of Elijah and Sarah M.
(Burwell) Janes. she spent her early life there, later moving to Ripon.

Burial was In the family lot at the Seven Day cemetery. three miles
south of Berlin, about a half mile from her blrthplace. Surviving Miss
Janes are two nephews and four nieces.
