MUSCATINE, Iowa -- William Dean Denham, 75, of Muscatine died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at the Riverbend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at the Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory. The Rev. Judy Gingerich will officiate. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tim Denham, Roger Denham, Scott Chamberlain, Robby Chamberlain, Jason St. Clair, Troy Marolf, Craig Wulf, Charlie Shouse, Dan Davis and Jack Crone.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.

Mr. Denham was born on Sept. 1, 1926, in Washington, the son of William Sherman and Minnie O. Todd Denham. He married Phyllis Irene Tackenberg on Dec. 29, 1950, in Muscatine.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a military police officer.

He retired as a truck driver for Anderson-Mandle.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Denham of Buffalo Prairie, Ill. and Roger Denham of Minneapolis, Minn.; four daughters, Cathy Shouse and Deana Davis, both of Muscatine, Julie Wulf of Davenport and Sandy Ritz of Bloomfield; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two half-brothers; and a grandson, Shelbey Ritz.
