Mrs. Evelena (Lena) Bodman, 97,
died Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at the
Lutheran Homes where she had been
making her home.
She was born Feb. 26, 1870 at Mus-
catine, the daughter of Bernhard
and Lena Rothe Miller. She married
William B. Bodman May 4, 1892, at
Muscatine. Mrs. Bodnian was a mem-
ber of the Methodist church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.
A.F. (Florence) Witte, Boca Raton,
Fla.; one grandson, Dr. R.V. Witte,
Grand Junction, Colo.; and two
great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her
parents, husband, one son, two
brothers and five sisters.
Funeral service will be held Satur-
day, Oct. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at the
George M. Wittich Funeral home.
Rev. L. A. Stumme of the Lutheran
Homes will officiate. Burial will
be at Memorial Park cemetery.
