MRS. GRACE HARLOW BASCHE
Funeral services for Mrs. Grace H. Basche, 82, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 1964 at St. Stephens Episcopal Church.
The Reverend Louis L. Perkins will officiate with following at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Baker, Ore., under the direction of The Beatty Chapel.
Mrs. Basche was born February 21, 1882 at Eugene, Oregon. She was the daughter of George and Rachel Harlow Campbell, and attended schools in Eugene, Oregon. She was married to Claude C. Basche, August 20, 1902, in Creswell, Oregon, and the couple moved to Sumpter, Oregon, where Mr. Basche operated a hardware store until the Sumpter fire in 1917. After the fire, they moved to Baker where she had resided since. Mr. Basche preceded her in death in April, 1950, and her son Fred in January, 1962. She had been an active member of St Stephens Episcopal Church.
She is survived by son, Paul Basche, Baker, Oregon; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kay Basche, Baker, Oregon; nephew, Pete Basche, Richland, Oregon and four grandchildren.
The family request that friends contribute to St. Stephens Episcopal Memorial fund in lieu of sending flowers. Friends may call at The Beatty Chapel until 1 p.m. Tuesday, as the casket will not be opened at the church.
