Funeral services for Alice E. Bartness, 76, of Hartland, Minnesota will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 1 at the Hartland Evangelical Lutheran church. Interment will be in the Hartland Cemetery.
Alice died on Wednesday, September 28, 1994 at St. John's Lutheran Home.
Alice was born May 20, 1918 at Hartland, the daughter of Hans and Anna (Omvig) Holland. She attended school and was a life long resident of Hartland.
On June 9, 1937, Alice was united in marriage to Ellsworth Bartness at Hartland.
The couple farmed for a number of years and Alice did various carpentry work and worked for Herters.
Alice enjoyed fishing, art crafts and playing cards.
Survivors include;
Son, Arvil (Harp) and fiancee Delores of Hartland
Daughter, Carelyn and husband Robert Johnson of New Richland.
Grandchildren;
Penny, Roy, Bryan, David and Mark Bartness. Ricky and Ronnie Johnson and Cindy Lind.
10 great grandchildren
One great-great grandchild
One sister; Helen (Leonard) Carroll
One brother; Oscar (Bud) Holland.
