Aaron F. Davis, old settler of Hanna, dies April 26, 1900.--Geneseo Republic Newspaper
On January 18th 1886, Aaron petitioned the Illinois court for guardianship of his deceased brother's (Thomas Jefferson Davis) children. They were Charles L., Mary B., Mildred "Nellie" H., and Fred Shrom Davis (my great grandfather, who was 7 at the time). The record can be found on the LDS Family Search website under Illinois, Probate Records, 1819-1970, Rock Island, Guardianship Records 1882-1899 Vol. C, page 76.
Aaron married Anne Eynon and his brother Ezra married her sister, Elizabeth.
According to his will, he had 6 adult children living at the time of his death. He left $100 to his granddaughter, Audra Mary Crosthwait.
