OBIT: Mary E. WARDELL, second daughter of William & Cassanna WARDELL, was born June 3, 1841, in Scott County, Indiana. When six years of age she removed with her parents to Illinois. When married George W. GREGORY, Aug. 28, 1865 & she passed away Oct. 27, 1908 at the of 67 years, 4 months, 24 days. To this union was born 8 children, 2 dying in infancy, Liza J. & Nellie E. The surviving children are" Mrs. William BEDENBENDER, Mrs. George WALLACE. William F., Thomas E., Lawrence E. & Alta M. Two sisters, Sarah & Jane preceded her in death. Also two brothers, William WARDELL and Thomas E. of Chester ARK. She leaves her husband, 6 children, 11 grandchildren & two brothers besides a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Bainbridge Township conducted by Rev. J. G. Yeck & interment in the cemetery nearby.
