HANNIBAL - Arthur L. Cameron, 86, of Hannibal, died at 9:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Grand View Funeral Chapel in Hannibal. The Rev. Jeff Anderson will officiate. Burial, with full military honors conducted by the Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post No. 55, will be at Grand View Burial Park.Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral chapel.Mr. Cameron was born May 12, 1916, in St. Elmo, Ill., to Joseph and Edna Smith Cameron.He was married to Dorothy I. Smith on Aug. 1, 1936, in Vandalia, Ill. She survives.Other survivors include one son, Kenneth Cameron of Northbrook, Ill.; one daughter, Donna Willett of Hannibal; three brothers, Raymond Cameron of Opelousas, La., Bill Cameron of Belvidere, Ill., and Tracy Cameron of St. Elmo, Ill.; three sisters, Doreen Freeman of Salem, Ill., Bonnie Smith of Sandoval, Ill., and Loretta Bartimus of Midland, Texas; five grandchildren, Susan Naccarato, Greg Cameron, Jeremy Willett, Brian Willett and Krissy Willett; and five great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Cameron, Richard Cameron and Jim Cameron; and one sister, Helen Owens.Mr. Cameron was a longtime resident of the area and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a member of the Harvesters Class. For more than 40 years he was employed by the Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Service. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post No. 55 of Hannibal.Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.Pallbearers will be Greg Cameron, Todd Naccarato, Jeremy Willett, Brian Willett, Joe Schindler and Bill Nurzcyk.
