Helen E. Horn, 88, died at 6:50 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born September 5, 1922 in Alton, she was the daughter of George and Anna (Masel) Handler. She was a designer for Lammer's Floral for many years, a member of College Avenue Presbyterian Church and was a volunteer at Alton Memorial Hospital. On September 7, 1941 in Palmyra, MO, she married David R. Horn. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1982.
Surviving are three sons, David M. Horn and wife Debbie of Alton, Richard F. Horn and wife Becky of Honey Grove, TX and John E. Horn and his fiancé Autumn of Godfrey, six grandchildren, Mary, James, Mark and Kevin Horn, Christine Salmon and Kim Horn and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and Carl Handler and two sisters, Katherine Webb and Elinor Norman.
Services will be private. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park.
