OBITUARY--THE LEBANON ENTERPRISE, FRIDAY, February 4, 1949. Death Comes Tuesday To Mother of Eleven.
Terminating an illness of several weeks, Mrs. Gertrude Elizabeth Thompson, 39, wife of Bernard Thompson, died Tuesday evening about 6 o'clock at her home near Raywick. Her passing was attributed to a complication of troubles. She was the mother of 15 children, eleven of whom survive, including a five month old daughter.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Wayne County on April 18, 1909, and was a daughter of the late Ivo and Ellen Chapman Adair. Since her marriage to Mr. Thompson, she had been a resident of the Raywick vicinity, where she had many friends. She was a member f the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Her surviving children--three boys and eight girls--are William Orville, 20; Erma Marie, 17; Dora Helen, 15, Hazel Ann, 13; Leo Bernard, 11; Sarah Elizabeth, 9; Joseph Patrick, 7; Joseph Patrick, 7; Mary Marlene, 7; Frances Jane, 4; Bonnie Jean, 2, and Margaret Theresa, 5 months old. Four other children are deceased.

Also surviving are two sister and three brothers. They are Mrs. Dora O'Daniel, Mrs. Mary Allie Crabtree, Elbert and Hubert Adair, all of Prospect, and Clyde Adair of Illinois.

Funeral services will be conducted this morning at 9:30 o'clock at the St. Joseph Church by the Rev, Fred Arnld. Interment will take place in the St. Joseph Cemetery. immediately following death, the body was brought to Bosley Funeral Home where preparations were made for burial.
