McDonald Johnson, age 76, went to be with the Lord on May 19, 1994. He was born to Daniel and Melissa (Tilley) Johnson in Durant Oklahoma on May 6, 1918. McDonald Johnson served in world war two 1944. Discharged Dec 9,1945.

He is survived by wife, Naomi Ruth Scott of Harrah, two daughters, Wilma of Wayne ,OK and Delvagene of Okc; six sons, Jarvis, Sr. of tunic,Ok, Marvin and wife Cheryl,of Choctaw,Ok Samuel of Dallas, TX, Donald of Nicoma Park, Ok and Richard of the home; one brothers, Esiah Johnson of Atoka OK, 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Melvin Ray Johnson in 1965.and his other son Ulysses who passed in 1999.

On May 13, 1994 McDonald was told that he had liver cancer. Six days later he passed away. The following is a poem that was read at his funeral.

GOD SAW YOU

God Saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, Come to Me. With Tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away, And though we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A Golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the Best
