Mary Cornwell, 92, of Effingham passed away Wednesday, 24 August 2011, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood, with Mary R. White officiating. Burial will be in Mason Union Cemetery, Mason. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Memorials are requested to the donor's choice.
Mary was born March 5, 1919, in Champaign, the daughter of Grover C. and Tina M. (Lybarger) Hutson. She married Harry D. Cornwell on Jan. 4, 1971, in Memphis, Tenn. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1996.
She was a retired housekeeper from St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her brother, Chester (Lena) Hutson of Beecher City; sister, Juanita (John) Yanok of Edgewood; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Justice and John Hutson; and sisters, Violet Hutson, Anna Wood and Tina Marie Hutson.
